Justin got in the headlines for featuring in Netflix’s black comedy action television series The Brothers Sun which is first on premiere on January 4, 2024. Justin has been featured in many short films including Cyclists, Reverallium, Pool Boys, Kodama, The Order and many more. Justin Chien was born and brought up in America.
Justin Chien’s father is Carl Chien, a famous Taiwanese businessman. Carl Chien works at J.P. Morgan Bank as the Vice Chairperson of Asia Pacific. He is an important member of their Asia Pacific Management Committee too.
At the bank, Carl Chien has to take care of the bank’s senior clients in 17 different Asian countries. Justin’s mother is called Virginia Hu, but people call her Ginny. Justin comes from a wealthy and well-connected family on his father’s side. His dad Carl Chien has a top position at a major international bank. Justin has two siblings named Darren and Fred Chien Jr.
Justin Chien has other important people in his family too. His uncle is Carol Chien. His grandparents on his father’s side are Fredrick F. Chien, who was an important diplomat and politician in Taiwan, and Julie Tien.

Career
Producer
Justin Chien has rapidly established himself as an acclaimed emerging producer through his work on several decorated short films. His breakout success came as an executive producer on the 2018 release Continuum, which won Best Short Film at the Chinese American Film Festival and received a Golden Angel Award nomination.
Chien followed up this victory by serving as producer on the Best Short-nominated 2020 film Fine China. Most recently, he was an associate producer on the 2021 short Endless Yesterdays.
Television Series
In addition to his producer credits, Justin Chien has started to make his mark as an actor in television over the last few years. He made his TV debut in 2021 with a role in the award-winning series “Two Sides: Unfaithful where he played the role of Mikey. Chien then appeared in an episode of ABC’s “Disney Television Discovers: Talent Showcase” as Allen.
He also took on the role of Horace in the 2023 series “Sun Moon.” Most notably, Chien recently grabbed headlines for his starring role in the highly-anticipated 2024 action-comedy series “The Brother Sun,” where he features alongside Highdee Kuan and Sam Song Li.
