In 2009, Martín started his film career by starring as Leo in the movie Leo’s Room (El Cuarto DE Leo). The film was directed by Enrique Buchichio. The film premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Martín played Leo, a young guy exploring his sexual orientation and accepting himself. His performance won him multiple awards, such as Best Actor and Best Male Revelation from the Uruguayan Film Critics Association, as well as Best Actor at festivals in Ibiza, Spain, and Luna, Spain.
Later, Martín featured in some movies and short films like San Martín: El Cruce de Los Andes as General Miguel Soler, Los dinosaurios ya no viven aquí and The Name of All the Animals.
In 2014, Martín playing the role of Jorge in the movie “Zanahoria,” directed by Enrique Buchichio where the film received the top prize, the Colón DE Oro, at the 40th edition of the Ibero-American Film Festival in Huelva, Spain.
After gaining popularity in Uruguayan Film, Martín got the opportunity to play the lead role in the American crime drama television series Griselda as Rivi which was released on January 24, 2024, on Netflix.
