Zuri Adele’s mother’s name is Elaine Ray. Elaine Ray is an author. Zuri Adele has not told the public her father’s name or if she has any brothers or sisters. There were rumours that Zuri Adele was dating her Good Trouble co-star Sarunas Jackson. But Zuri and Sarunas say they are just good friends and not dating.

Zuri Adele was born on April 10, 1990, in Boston, Massachusetts. She developed a passion for acting and performance at a young age. Adele attended Spelman College in Atlanta where she began her formal theatre training. She furthered her studies at the prestigious British American Drama Academy in London.
Adele later earned acceptance into the inaugural interdisciplinary graduate acting program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is currently pursuing her MFA in Acting at UCLA as one of only eight actors selected for the highly competitive program.
Before UCLA, some of Adele’s early acclaimed performances include starring as Josephine Baker in the 2013 world premiere of La Perle Noire and participating in a staged reading of Da Kink in My Hair alongside Angie Stone, Melanie Fiona and Terri J. Vaughn at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta.
Career
Adele began her acting career in 2010 with a role in the short film Russian Roulette. This marked the beginning of a busy career in film and television. Her breakout role came in 2013 when she was cast in the sci-fi CBS series Under the Dome playing the role of Mother. Adele continued to take on projects in shorts and TV movies like The Social Worker (2014), Plenty (2016), and C.R.E.A.M & Butter (2018).
In 2019, She landed her most notable role yet as Malika Williams on the Freeform series Good Trouble. As of 2023, Adele has starred as Malika on Good Trouble for over 78 episodes spanning multiple seasons.
