Biography
Al Boogie, whose real name is Alex Troegel, is a crane salesman in his late 30s from Shreveport, Louisiana. He auditioned for Season 23 of The Voice but didn’t manage to turn any chairs with his performance of “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” by Elvis Presley and Travis Tritt. Despite not making it onto the show, he considered the experience to be a cool opportunity to pursue his musical dreams.
Al Boogie has been involved in music for quite some time, performing as a solo acoustic act and as the lead singer of the band Ole Whiskey Revival, which was formed in 2014 and released an eight-song, self-titled album in 2018. They also produced a music video for their song “Whiskey Makes It Spin.”
