Kristy Sellars was born on May 28, 1986, in Sydney, Australia. She went to school in Sydney and that’s where she got interested in dancing. She learned lots of different dance styles and eventually gave pole dancing a try. She loved mixing it with other dance styles. After fifteen years, Kristy is famous worldwide for her creative shows. She makes her performances from the beginning and teams up with animator Jan Zavadil to make them real. She tries hard to manage her personal life and job. In 2019, she won “Australia’s Got Talent Season 9” by doing her special pole act with a video playing in the background.

Career

After winning Australia’s Got Talent, Kristy tried out for America’s Got Talent in 2022-23. Her audition wowed everyone when she did a pole dance to a song called “Hit the Road, Jack.” All four judges loved it and sent her to the next round.

In the semifinals, she did this incredible dual pole dance that took people through different fantasy worlds. All the judges gave her a standing ovation, and she made it to the finals, where she did another amazing routine dedicated to her daughter. Even then, all the judges were super impressed. In the end, she finished in second place, just behind another amazing act called Mayyas.

In 2023-24, Kristy got into America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League after being picked as one of the top 40 acts. This got her into the Draft Pool, and she ended up on Howie Mandel’s team. During the Preliminary round, in Episode FL01, Kristy danced to “Eye of the Tiger” by Tommee Profitt. Her performance was so good that she got chosen to move on to the semifinals.
