Biography
Mac Royals, originally known as Malcolm Allen, hails from Wrightsville, Arkansas, where he began his musical journey in church and started playing the violin in the first grade. In 2014, he decided to pursue his dreams by auditioning for Season 13 of American Idol, where he wowed the judges with his rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” during his audition. Jennifer Lopez was particularly impressed, and he advanced to the semifinals before being eliminated.
After his American Idol experience, Malcolm moved to Los Angeles and occasionally performed as a street musician. He later appeared on the popular Terrell YouTube show, showcasing his remarkable vocal talent. He took a break from music after his father’s passing in 2020 but returned with a rebranded show titled “Return of the Mac” in August 2021, held in Little Rock, Arkansas, in honor of his father, who inspired his drive for music.
