Maidaan is an upcoming Indian Hindi biographical sports film based on the golden era of Indian football (1952-1962) directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma starring- Ajay Devgn, Mahim Masum, Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh, Aryann Bhowmik, Gajraj Rao and Nitanshi Goel.
The movie is set on the golden era of football i.e. 1952-1962 and is based on the life of the popular football coach- Syed Abdul Rahim, who managed the Indian football team for a period of 13 years and laid the foundation of modern Indian football. The character of Syed Abdul Rahim is played by Ajay Devgn in the movie.
It will be released in theatres all over India on June 3, 2022.
