Birth & Early Life
Jiya Sharma was born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. After schooling Jiya went to Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication to pursue bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2012-15. She has done Masters of Arts in Journalism from same university in 2015-17.
Career
During studies, Jiya started appearing in Doordarshan news channel as anchor in 2012-13. Later she got opportunity for work in IBC24 news channel as news anchor. In IBC24, Jiya won the Anchor Hunt Competition named “Khoj Ek Anchor Ki”.
In February 2015, Jiya left IBC24 and started working in Bansal News as a news anchor where she worked till March 2017. Then, Jiya joined Red FM where she worked around 5 months as Radio Jockey.
