Samir Abbas is an Indian Journalist and News Anchor. He is currently working in TV9 Bharatvarsh as Executive Editor. Besides, he has served his services to many news channels such as Jain TV, News18 Urdu, India TV, Live India and IBN7. In 2001, Sameer began her journalism career with Jain TV. Samir has also worked with Rajat Sharma in Doordarshan’s program ‘Chunav Ki Baat’.

Birth & Early Life
Samir Abbas was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and belongs to middle class Muslim family. Samir has pursued his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Lucknow University.
Career
Samir began his journalism career with Jain TV in 2001. After sometime he left Jain TV and joined Channel 7 where he worked as Journalist. Later, Samir joined News 18 India and worked as news anchor. In same year he also worked in Live India as Executive Editor.
Samir quit the Live India channel and started working in Rajat Sharma’s channel India TV as news anchor and producer. He stepped down India TV and joined News 18 Urdu where he hosted a popular political debate show “Prime Debate” in 2018.
