Amol Bawdekar is a Mumbai based actor and singer. He got married to Dr. Prerna Bawdekar on 21 December 2007. The couple has a son Advait Bawdekar.
Career
Amol Bawdekar became a household name with his role of Guruji in Marathi movie Panghrun starring Gauri Ingawale. India gained independence in 1947, but for the women, freedom was still a distant dream. It took a long period of struggle for the society to accept remarriage of widows or prevent underage girls from getting married.
He was also a part of TV serial Kashibai Bajirao Ballal aired on Zee TV. The serial revolves around Kashibai who rises to the challenge and proves to be an able administrator when her husband Peshwa Bajirao sets out to expand the Maratha empire.
Amol was a part of another historical show Swamini and played the character of Nana Saheb. The serial showcases the dramatic life of Rama, the newest bride in the Peshwa household.
